The promise of spring is in the air .... water trickles as the snow piles slowly melt. Birds are returning and fluttering in the bushes as they scout out a new place for their nests. They quarrel over a spot on the feeder. The sunlight stays longer into the evening. The hint of warmth teases. Summer ... Fall.... Winter... SPRING!
I recently found these words in a tiny antique book entitled Cheerfulness.
Flowers are the sweetest things that
God ever made and forgot to put a soul into.
Henry Ward Beecher
I have been slowly turning pages of the newly arrived seed catalogs, making lists, dreaming, seeing in my mind the garden to be created in the backyard ..... it won't be long now!
In the meantime, the florist provides these little beauties.
Enjoy.

Lovely photos and wonderful quote. I think you need to paint that on a stone for your garden.
